What A World, What A Life

Last night, my roommate and I ventured up to Fort Collins. She had to go borrow something from a friend and she graciously offered to take me to visit the bf. My birthday is coming up soon and he's had a surprised planned for a while, but, being that it was a surprise, he wouldn't tell me. It was driving me crazy and last night, his roommate, though total accident, happened to tell me what my surprise is. I'm so excited I get to see Matt Wertz and that, with the help of my sister, my bf was actually able to plan something and we get to do something for my birthday!! I also can't believe I'm going to be saying goodbye to my teen years in only a couple weeks, but that's another story.

Today, after my sudden surprise of getting to see Matt Wertz, I promptly listened to all his new music all day long at work! It was splendid. And I can't be more grateful for my bf right now. Our last night of break, we ended up sitting in my car in the garage for at least an hour just chatting. It was so wonderful as that was how our relationship started and all of senior year we would sit in the car talking. I seemed to fall in love with him even more! Then I found this picture on my phone...
After graduation, he took off to Africa for a month and I was terribly sad. Not only was I stuck at home working for a month while he visited my dream location, but my best friend and giant crush was gone. I occasionally heard from him on facebook, which made my day, but when he had his day in London on the way home, he actually remembered to take a picture for me. I had just finished reading Harry Potter and wanted a picture of him going to the Ministry of Magic. :) Not only did he remember, but he sent it to me on my phone!! I don't think I've ever been that awake at 6:30 in the morning, EVER. I was just SO excited! I love this picture though. It takes me back to where it all started...and I couldn't be happier!

My Cinderella Slipper

Wow. Spring break is already over!! It's amazing how fast a week can go when there are no classes and almost no stresses to speak of. Unfortunately, that week has met its end. I am back in my apartment with my sleepy-time tea looking at all that's to come in these last 7 weeks of school. I'm very excited that there are only 7 weeks left...but this is where the need for summer begins to kick in. It doesn't help any that Colorado was somehow missed through all the horrible blizzards that hit almost every other state this winter. To think that colleges in Texas were getting snow days... Needless to say, the expected high of 73 degrees tomorrow will not be helping fight this painful need for summer. Luckily though, I have some awesome new shoes to help.

I LOVE my new chacos!! Seriously, not only do I feel super granola-esk and like a true Coloradoan, my feet couldn't be happier!! I was also blessed with some new tunes this week as the bf's lovely sister shared her JB and Eminem cds...made the drive back to school way more enjoyable might I add.

Anyways. Tonight, talking with my roommate I realized how easily I can stress myself out. Between finances, financial aid, class registration, hw, weekend plans, summer job plans and friend stresses (or the stress found with the lack of friends) I realized I just have to let go... Go with the flow a little more, let my chacos lead me down the easy going way of life. Hopefully these will be the perfect fit for me and help me find a happily ever after-life is bigger than school joy in life.

Just Another American Saturday Night

Well...maybe not that exciting. It's just me, Pretty Woman, and, well me. Can't even enjoy my families favorite red wine and popcorn...oh to be 21.

I'd have to say that after a week, and especially a day, like this, qualifies for the tissues and ice cream. If only Spring Break were here so I could at least be home with my sister...watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," our new favorite show thanks to Netflix.

Oof.
