living up to the name

So you all know about my car situation from the beginning of this summer. I had to say goodbye to my precious Faux as my sister and her bf took her all the way to LA. She is pretty sexy though, so I'm sure it won't take long for her to be spotted on the street and staring in the next Ryan Gosling movie. This was the last picture I took of her. :'(

Well, since I'm officially driving Polly now, I needed to make sure she was good to go. She's been to the doctor a few times for her squeaking belt, but I'm sure she'll last me forever so it's a good thing I like her. One thing that was an issue though was the wiper blades. They were totally dead and did NOT work. So Man-Cub went to Walmart with me one evening to get new blades. And let me tell you, MAN-Cub totally lived up to his name. He figured out how to get the old ones off and the new ones on and I was pretty impressed...

My heart flutter-ith...

I'm also packing up for school right now. And check out my awesome new toy that I can't WAIT to use! ...As scene on TV. :)

And one last thing. Apparently, I'm awesome.

This town ain't big enough for the two of us

So as the summer winds down and we all head back to school, my friends and I tried to squeeze in some quality times together.

One night, Man-Cub and I met his bff at a local little bar. Upon our arrival, we learned that it was all you can eat crab night! I ended up ordering a stupid quesadilla and was bitter all night long watching the bff enjoy ALL his crab...

A few days later, a whole group of us went shooting together! Man-Cub was pleasantly surprised with how good I was and I was very glad to show off. The two holes in the black center...yours truly. :) Gotta love shooting!

After shooting, Man-Cub and I went with the bff to take his new puppy to the dog park. Not only have these guys been bff's since 1st grade (cute, right?), but this new puppy loves Man-Cub!

A few days later we all ventured to our friends house for his engagement party! Even though all the guys are in the wedding, our friend lives in North Carolina so we don't get to see him often. Unfortunately, I gave Man-Cub my phone because he had a pocket and I didn't get any pictures at the party, but it was a Luau party so I did snap a picture of us in our outfits once we got home!

And last, but certainly not least, I got to grab breakfast with my friend Alisa! She's been in Washington all summer and since she graduated in May, won't be returning to Greeley this fall. It was so great seeing her and catching up!

And after all these fun times, everyone, but me, has returned to school. I guess I should be grateful I get an extra week of summer before school starts, but now it's just lonely in the Springs. At least we got to fit in some fun memories before the summer was over!

Pub time

So the week before heading to Nashville, Man-Cub and I had a random date night! We weren't planning anything, but I came across a movie playing at the cute little downtown theater. It's called Moonrise Kingdom. I hadn't heard of it but the trailer was great and it had amazing reviews! So we went. (Here's the trailer.)

Since we were downtown anyways, we headed to the little pub there. It was super cute, super chill, and super fun.

Sometimes, random date nights are the best. Evening on chilly, rainy evenings. Love you, Man-Cub!

Still not my Broadmoor

After all the wedding chaos of last weekend was over, my parents and grandparents wanted a day to relax and see some of Nashvegas. We decided to head down to the Opryland Hotel! Yes, yes, it was pretty. But it still wasn't in my mountains.

Anyways. Here are some pictures of how pretty this place was. Unfortunately, Man-Cub had left early that day so I was the lucky seventh wheel...

Oh. And check out how awesome my grandparents are. See giant open area, start dancing with no music. :) How cute.

Can you find me?

Oh, and this was the same pose my sister and husband did for one of their engagement photos. ;) haha

And this is where I was missing Man-Cub.

After Opryland, we headed to downtown Nashvegas to find the best bbq ever! But once we got there, it had closed a hour earlier because it was Sunday. BOOOOOOOOOOO. So we just decided to walk around downtown and found another place, not nearly as good!

Goodbye Nashvegas! I won't miss your heat or your country music, but I will miss my family that you hold captive.

Wove, Twu Wove...

My goodness. My sister is married. And now I have a brother! :)

Let me take you on this journey through pictures! (Some I stole, most are mine, most are blurry.)

So last week, mom and I went to get our nails done in preparation.

I then came home to pack, and considering all the fancy occasions I was packing for, it ended up being a harder task than expected.

Anyways, I was finally able to fit everything and mom and I headed off to Nashvegas on Wednesday!

We met up with the bride to be and all the excitement grew. I also gave the bride her birthday present and we immediately took a picture.

That evening, family from Canada began to show up and the party began!

Thursday morning, the happy couple treated mom and I to the best banana pancakes ever while we got ready to meet up with everyone else. The airport trips were unending, as was the excitement. Once all the ladies showed up, we headed to get all the other ladies' nails done.

That afternoon Man-Cub even flew in! We walked down to the Barnes and Noble and shared some drinks with our little friend.

That evening was dinner with just our side of the family it was a quite a lively event.

That evening was a lay-low evening and Kaylah practiced her song with some little friends.

Friday morning we headed over to the bride's house to help prepare the cakes and flowers. Kaylah and Gigi touched up the cakes while Man-Cub, mom, and myself helped the bride get her flowers ready.

Then that afternoon was Mas Tacos with the entire wedding clan! Even the Swede's were there and little baby Jamie did steal part of the show. ;)

Afterwards, we all relaxed a bit before heading to the rehearsal dinner, where Man-Cub and I were lucky enough to sit right across from the happy couple. (This next picture is one of my favs..)

Man-Cub and I were happy to be together, but unfortunately the same feelings weren't shared between myself and little Jamie....

That night, the big kids were headed out for some drinks, but the bar wait was 2 hours so instead we went next door for some root-beer floats.

While there, the bride and groom shared some sweet presents with us! They even came stamped in a beautiful little wrapper.

Then the next morning was wedding day!!!! Our hotel room was total chaos so I wasn't able to snap any pictures, but the wedding was LOVELY!

Although the ceremony was in the little chapel, we went out to the main cathedral part for pictures and it was beautiful!

The reception was in Franklin at this cute little place where we got our own little room. I was squished against the wall so wasn't able to get lots of pictures, but I tried! (Some of these are what I stole)

And that completes the wedding. It was BEAUTIFUL and I am so happy for my sister and her man. I love them dearly, wish them the best, and can't wait for all the memories ahead of us!
