Part 1 of 3 of 4 AND Part 2 of 3 of 4

Well, this is LONG overdue. It feels as though I'm picking up my journal I promised to write in every day and don't know where to begin filling it in.

Although it is the beginning of spring semester, I will begin with trying to wrap up all of fall semester in some pictures. Fall semester kicked off my Junior year and was my last semester of 18 credits. I am pleased to say that I did way better grade-wise than my last 18 credit semester, and am very grateful to be done with that load. I also confirmed that I am on track to graduate a semester early, so am pleased to say that this time next year, I will be DONE with school!!

So let me try and re-cap some of the major events from this fall.

For starters, Man-Cub turned 21, as stated in my previous post ages ago. We went to the Rio to celebrate and they gave him a free birthday shot! Woo!! (Only 4 months left for me!)

We went tubing down the river in Fort Collins with my roommate and her, now, fiance, and I tore my back all up after being flipped in the rapids. I would probably try it again though...

Man-Cub had crab for the first time. (Which was at Red Lobster in Greeley. Not the freshest, nor by any means the least butter-y, but still an experience.)

We celebrated Halloween together as Lisbeth Salander (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) and Spiderman (Spiderman).

My family from Canada visited mom and dad for a weekend so I went home to visit.

UNC kicked off basketball season with a free-to-watch scrimmage/slam-dunk contest so I participated in a school spirit activity. (*cough*Kaylah*cough*)

We had to say good-bye to the best dog ever. (A Snooky specific post to follow)

Mom came and visited for a weekend and we went to see The Help then came home and fried stuff. She really got the college experience when we ended up eating hush-puppies and green beans with fruit salad for dinner at 9pm followed by home-made donuts while playing guitar hero. :) My mom is awesome.

I made some friends doing group projects, one of whom having a cute little 3 pound puppy we got to play with.

Mom had a birthday, so we went to the Lion King off Broadway and Lauren and I got a picture with Rafiki!

Man-Cub and I had some hot dates in Old Town.

And Keifer's dog Chill, who we met over the summer as a tiny puppy, got fixed and learned how to shovel snow every time she went out in her cone of shame.

And that basically wraps up my fall semester. My roommate got engaged right before Thanksgiving, so that has proven to be added stress as she finishes nursing school. Hopefully we can make it through the semester and still be friends at the end!!

Looking towards this spring semester that begins tomorrow, I am a little excited. I am taking some psych classes (abnormal and child and adolescent) that I am excited for and get to take my favorite professor ever for maternal and child nutrition. Hopefully that balances out having to take my least favorite professor ever as well. I made a friend in my psych class from last semester and hope to be able to hang out with her, schedules permitting. Unfortunately, she will graduate in May. But on the bright side, I found a place to live next fall for the six months I will be in school, so will automatically have four other girls to chat with...personalities permitting? I'm starting this semester with the encouragement of knowing this is actually  my last year of school and will fight senior-itis with everything in me!

Good luck to all of you beginning a new year. A day doesn't go by where Facebook doesn't inform me of a new engagement, weekend wedding, or pregnancy announcement. Seems this year will be full of many life changing events...and I will (not so patiently) be waiting for December 15 when I can officially kiss Greeley good-bye!
