The Weekend!!

This weekend has been a tad busy, and it's not even over yet! Before I start the weekend story stories, I just wanted to share with you all that my new DVDs came! I love Flight of the Conchords and they finally arrived!! Thank you Amazon sale!

Now for the weekend! Luckily, it's a four-day weekend so it's not quite over yet! But Friday, Man-Cub and I went to our favorite little four-year-old's birthday party! It was princess themed and the invite encouraged guests to dress the part, so we happily obliged. With the help of some clothes we found in the closet and a few extra pieces from random stores, we put our costumes together and nailed it! :)

She was very excited to see us and we were happy to be there! Being the poor college kids that we are, her mom explained to her that our dressing up was part of her present, but we still couldn't go empty handed.

She wore our crown all night because it actually said Birthday Princess on it. It was all good fun and I just love those little kiddos. Her brother is turning into quite the run around and I was lucky to snatch him up for this quick picture.

Then last night,  my mom and I went to a bridal shower! My sister is the Maid of Honor, but considering she is in Taiwan and only flying in for the actual wedding, we were happy to go celebrate in her place. Plus we just love that family.

Well that's it for now, but today I'm making my first Sangria! (And will be practicing my level of patience.) And tomorrow will be a fun holiday...even if we don't know what we're doing, we know there will be Sangria! ;)

Summer!!

Hello friends! I'm a little behind on everything, so I'll try to use my pictures for a quick reminder with few details.

School ended about 2 and a half weeks ago and although it still wasn't a 4.0, I was happy with the results. I also managed to nail down an internship in Fort Collins for fall semester. So for about 6 hours every week I'll go be going to the Mountain Crest Adolescent Residential Treatment Center. I think it could be rough work, but I also think it will be a great experience and I'm thrilled they gave me a chance!

So the week of finals, I left on Friday and headed up to FOCO to see Man-Cub. He got new glasses and loves them...I think his love grew when my sister said he looked like Peter Parker.

That night we went to see The Avengers and LOVED it. The next day was Cinco de Mayo and we celebrated by getting some Rio margs. I will miss those all summer long.

That night we also went out with my friend Alisa and her boyfriend, Patrick. She graduated and is moving to Washington so it was a bit of a grad/going away party.

Then mom and dad helped me move home, and because I had to leave my apartment, it basically just moved to my room here. Quite the unpacking.

So now I'm home and settled in. I also crushed my phone in dad's truck door, so was able to upgrade to an iPhone. Still a sad day though.

Being back in Colorado Springs hasn't allowed too many new adventures, but I did buy my first beer to share with mom and dad.

Clearly we like light beer, but we've been trying to expand our beer knowledge so tried a sampler, and most of it was delish! (But if you're checking, the list is backwards to the beer, and the second to last on the list is incorrect.)

We celebrated mother's day, where everyone got mom something, but me. Literally, everyone. Man-Cub's parents are in Italy for their 25th anniversary so we had him and his younger brother and sister over for Mother's Day, and they even brought her flowers. Even Taiwan sent flowers!!! I ended up getting her The King's Speech the following day.

I put a red streak in my hair.

And this weekend I bought my friends car. Well, mom and dad bought it. I didn't need it, but it's better than mine currently and was a super good deal! But it was a big ordeal because I'm still not sure I want to get rid of my car, Faux, to replace with the Mazda, Polly. But I did drive Polly for the first time and loved being in a stick again, especially one that shifted so smooth, so maybe I will have to part with Faux. But, can you notice what color of car I like. ;)

Anyways, not much has happened, but at I did want to update. Stay tuned! This weekend is a lovely little girls' 4-year-old birthday party that has a princess theme. Normally I don't encourage "princess," but I love her enough to play along so Man-Cub and I will be dressing up. ;)
