Hello friends! I'm a little behind on everything, so I'll try to use my pictures for a quick reminder with few details.
School ended about 2 and a half weeks ago and although it still wasn't a 4.0, I was happy with the results. I also managed to nail down an internship in Fort Collins for fall semester. So for about 6 hours every week I'll go be going to the Mountain Crest Adolescent Residential Treatment Center. I think it could be rough work, but I also think it will be a great experience and I'm thrilled they gave me a chance!
So the week of finals, I left on Friday and headed up to FOCO to see Man-Cub. He got new glasses and loves them...I think his love grew when my sister said he looked like Peter Parker.
That night we went to see The Avengers and LOVED it. The next day was Cinco de Mayo and we celebrated by getting some Rio margs. I will miss those all summer long.
That night we also went out with my friend Alisa and her boyfriend, Patrick. She graduated and is moving to Washington so it was a bit of a grad/going away party.
Then mom and dad helped me move home, and because I had to leave my apartment, it basically just moved to my room here. Quite the unpacking.
So now I'm home and settled in. I also crushed my phone in dad's truck door, so was able to upgrade to an iPhone. Still a sad day though.
Being back in Colorado Springs hasn't allowed too many new adventures, but I did buy my first beer to share with mom and dad.
Clearly we like light beer, but we've been trying to expand our beer knowledge so tried a sampler, and most of it was delish! (But if you're checking, the list is backwards to the beer, and the second to last on the list is incorrect.)
We celebrated mother's day, where everyone got mom something, but me. Literally, everyone. Man-Cub's parents are in Italy for their 25th anniversary so we had him and his younger brother and sister over for Mother's Day, and they even brought her flowers. Even Taiwan sent flowers!!! I ended up getting her The King's Speech the following day.
I put a red streak in my hair.
And this weekend I bought my friends car. Well, mom and dad bought it. I didn't need it, but it's better than mine currently and was a super good deal! But it was a big ordeal because I'm still not sure I want to get rid of my car, Faux, to replace with the Mazda, Polly. But I did drive Polly for the first time and loved being in a stick again, especially one that shifted so smooth, so maybe I will have to part with Faux. But, can you notice what color of car I like. ;)
Anyways, not much has happened, but at I did want to update. Stay tuned! This weekend is a lovely little girls' 4-year-old birthday party that has a princess theme. Normally I don't encourage "princess," but I love her enough to play along so Man-Cub and I will be dressing up. ;)
