I'd like to say I've been super busy making new friends and adjusting to life back in Colorado Springs, but really, I just watch a lot of Netflix and spend the rest of my time driving across town to coach different groups all day long. As boring as that might sound, it's actually quite nice, and the bottom line, is that I'm not in my cube. And I get to see this view from one of my pools every day.
I did have to pull out some extra work for a bit, but now my summer schedule has kicked in it's really keeping me busy so I haven't had to grunge up too much.
At least I'm super official now. And it felt like everything I expected it to when it came in the mail. (The school is just so I can open and close the pool...I don't work for the district...yet...working on substitute teacher applications for the fall.)
And I have been able to hang out with some cool people.
But really, I just look at these all day long, and it makes my heart so happy.
It's a good half hour drive to every pool, but I'm learning a whole new part of the city and am enjoying the relaxing time driving not in Denver traffic. It's 6.5 hours of coaching which means a lot of standing, but that beats the sitting in my cube simply looking out the window. And I get to go to meets again, which I'm sure will get old, but I'm still new enough it's just exciting.
And I love the spare time I get to grab outside, and trying to make new friends. I love being so close to the mountains I can grab a quick hike on a random day.
